The 2010 classic African safari is during the peak game viewing season.  You will be visiting  the Okavango Delta (jewel of Africa), Chobe national park and its 70,000 elephants, Hwange national park and the mighty Victoria Falls.

Why not come to the film night and find out all you want to know about holidaying in southern Africa? Marvel at some of the sights recently seen by other groups!  It was  tremendous game viewing, with 3 different prides of lions,  3 leopards,   black rhinos, masses of elephants, a pack of 10 painted dogs and so much more!  Plus the might and power of Victoria Falls. And top class accommodation, guides and local conservation VIPs throughout the tour.  Next year will be just as good, so be there!  It's a major fund raiser for our organisation, is fully escorted by an expert and is perfectly safe.

Please make a booking for the film show soon, and bring a friend or two along. There will be some stunning photos and you can also meet previous participants and chat to them about it. Some say it's the best trip they've ever been on.

Here are some of the places you would visit on one of the SAVE FOUNDATION adventures:

  • Imire rhino breeding centre,

  • The Hide in Hwange National Park, a 6-star resort,

  • The Sinamatella Intensive Protection Zone

  • Okavango Delta, the jewel of Africa.

  • Chobe National Park, home to thousands of elephants and buffalo, plus lions,

  • Victoria Falls, one of the seven wonders of the world, inc. 3 nights at the legendary Victoria Falls Hotel.

Several SAVE FOUNDATION safaris to Zimbabwe and neighbouring countries are being organised for 2010, and it's not too late to get more information about these.  Some will be of the "luxury type", others will take you "behind the scenes" to visit the projects supported by the Foundation.  Email the SAVE FOUNDATION for more information, or click here for a brochure.

Read below about some recent safaris.

Some pictures taken by our travelers can be seen here.

5/2008: Our latest safari to Zimbabwe.  All went very well in spite of horrendously difficult economic circumstances, and we keep our support, with your help

9/2005: A group of 22 members and friends of the SAVE FOUNDATION returned in late September 2005, having visited Zimbabwe, Botswana, and for some, Namibia.  Unforgettable memories were made by all, and the safari raised a total of $35,000 to support the action in the field. Well done!

9/2004: The Best of Zimbabwe and Botswana.
A group of 15 members of the SAVE FOUNDATION, fully escorted, visited conservation projects and landmarks of Zimbabwe, as well as the Okavango swamps of Botswana.

5/2004: Rhino adventure in Zimbabwe.
A group of 22 members of the SAVE FOUNDATION visited conservation projects and other notable nature landmarks of Zimbabwe during the second half of May.

Here's what the travelers say now:

"We both still very much have Zimbabwe & Botswana 'dust' under our finger nails - barely a day goes by that we don't talk about the trip and the experience. Never to be forgotten and we have been permanently changed."  Sonja and John; November 2004.

"Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday, with a nice bunch of people.  So many animals, so many miles, so few people!"  Ursula; October 2004.

There was something different and interesting happening every day. We were given many insights into wild animal conservation. Michael; June 2004

This was the most amazing thing I have ever done and far outweighed my expectations ...well worth every cent. Thank you for the opportunity to experience things that the normal tourist would never have the privilege of experiencing. Jill; June 2004

Thank you for the most amazingly wonderful trip, it was the trip of a lifetime! Carol; June 2004

I have travelled with holidays in Europe, America and Asia, but this was definitely the best holiday I have experienced Leanne; June 2004
